Bushy Park Parkrun

Today we left our Airbnb at 7am and took 3 different bus services to get to Bushy Park - the site of the first parkrun event. Years later the event spread to Australia. Bushy Park held its 930th event today (compared with Inverloch 396) There were over 1200 participants in this morning’s event which started at 9am. Very chilly, Dean and I walked the event, surprisingly few walkers for an event this size. I suspect that’s due to how very cold it is .. everyone runs it just to stay warm ! It’s a beautiful course with deer grazing on the grounds and the Diana memorial fountain near the entrance.

We warmed up after the event back at our Airbnb in Earls Court before heading out for the afternoon to the Transport museum and Covent Garden which is a vibrant area with heaps of interesting markets.
