Camino Day 5 to Navarrete via Logroño

May 25. A welcome sight was this little food stall in between villages about 12km into my walk today. Delicious almond pastry was just the fuel to keep me going on my 40 km today. Total Camino km 178
The trail was rocky and tough going at times. Downhill with pack extra weight is hard on my feet with a couple more blisters. This region is mainly vineyards and olives and wheat.
Traveling through the city of Logroño was hectic as it was mid afternoon and after school time.
Finally on the open trail into Navarrete I checked into a municipal albergue and grabbed tapas red wine a paella for dinner.

Rocky soil

Bridge out of Logroño
Chapel in Logroño - the more I travel along the Camino the more grand the churches are !
