Dear friends back home .. by the contents of these last two blogs you may think we are devoted royalist sand church goers! All I know is that we are definitely overwhelmed by all of the history both past and recent which we are witnessing, hence the 3 blog posts from me for one day. (Dean will post one too for this day as my phone went flat and there are more photos to share )
Westminster Abbey was still displaying THE coronation chair from last week.
Also in the cathedral is the mortal remains and memorials of many centuries of royals, dignitaries, and notables. The tombs in Westminster Abbey were lesser know to me but equally amazing to view. Dean took heaps of photos of these..
Prior to arriving at Westminster Abbey we drove over Tower bridge past the London Eye and Parliament square.
