Camino day 19 to Sarria



The skies were clear when I set off from O Cebreiro this morning at daybreak. Most of today was passing through small farming villages, quite a few with cattle being moved the the small village thoroughfares - barns next to houses.

The pictures above are the albergue I’m in tonight.. it’s an old Monastery. The mosaic out front is impressive. The stone walls are so thick!

  Walking into the plaza facing the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela felt strangely surreal. Back home in Darwin 🇦🇺

Well what a holiday WOW 🤩  After 3 and half months on the road Deb & I decided that we would come home as it’s time. We were blessed with everything we experienced and the people we meet on the way but missing family and friends so time to get back to the best country in the world and this time of year the best part of our country NT Darwin. Frankfurt to Singapore 12.5 hours , 2 hour to changeover then Singapore to Darwin  nearly 5 hours. Arrived in Darwin lovely afternoon 😀 ☀️☀️

British Motor Museum

  British Motor Museum   Stayed Wednesday night on the Thames river at Shepparton Lock free parking and they gave me the opportunity to operated the lock for boats going up a down the river. Next day went to the British Motor Museum at Gaydon with Jaguar Heritage Museum & workshop next door. Missed the Silk Cut Jags by a day as they were on the way to Le Mans for the 100th anniversary. Mechanic’s we’re trying to get started the Graham Hill, Jackie Stewart Gas Turbine Rover-BRM race car that raced and finished 10th in the 1965 Le Mans. Spent another 3 hours here with everything from Lady Penelope’s limo to a twin engined Moke also the 2004 Mark Webbers F1 Jag. 👍😎🏁
