Camino Day 21 to Salceda

Saturday June 10. After conversations with the albergue hosts the previous night I decided that I wanted to be in Santiago for the Sunday midday mass. I had 76 km to cover in 2 days so I wanted to try to get as far as possible today. I had a lot of energy in the morning, and had a big break at lunchtime, treating myself to Pulpa. Late afternoon after Arzua was feeling tedious until I caught up with Rodney, a Frenchman with basic English. We managed to communicate and a had broken conversations for a couple of hours. We arrived in Salceda tired but pleased that we were so close to Santiago:)

Forest before Salceda

Walking the last 10 km today with Rodney who also had a big day . It was great having his company for the last stretch. He stated his Camino in the North of France and had walked 2000 km. He also wanted to arrive in Santiago on Sunday

Albergue Aldorado in Salcede was really modern, supplied extras such as real sheets, a blanket, shampoo and bath gel.. luxurious items for an albergue. 15€.

 Km today 49/ Total 756
