Olveiroa rural walk

 

A very rural walk today on June 13. Walking through small dairy communities it is interesting to compare farming practice in Spain compared to South Gippy. 
Feed is stored in big piles concrete base, brick walls covered up until needed


Sheds/barns with cows in feed lots next to milking shed 
Many pastures of corn and hay

Camino day 22 to Santiago

  Walking into the plaza facing the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela felt strangely surreal. Thoughts and expectations of what would the Camino be like, would I be strong enough, will I stay well, will I find somewhere to sleep?  How would I feel when I reached Santiago?  I felt overjoyed in completing the pilgrimage, I was amazed by the Cathedral and the tomb of Saint James, and grateful that the journey had delivered the simplicity of life as a pilgrim that I imagined.  At the start of the pilgrimage you are provided with your Credencial (pilgrims passport) which allows you to stay in the albergues, and is proof of your journey as you get it stamped at churches, places of interest, cafes and albergues along the way. Back home in Darwin 🇦🇺

Well what a holiday WOW 🤩  After 3 and half months on the road Deb & I decided that we would come home as it’s time. We were blessed with everything we experienced and the people we meet on the way but missing family and friends so time to get back to the best country in the world and this time of year the best part of our country NT Darwin. Frankfurt to Singapore 12.5 hours , 2 hour to changeover then Singapore to Darwin  nearly 5 hours. Arrived in Darwin lovely afternoon 😀 ☀️☀️

British Motor Museum

  British Motor Museum   Stayed Wednesday night on the Thames river at Shepparton Lock free parking and they gave me the opportunity to operated the lock for boats going up a down the river. Next day went to the British Motor Museum at Gaydon with Jaguar Heritage Museum & workshop next door. Missed the Silk Cut Jags by a day as they were on the way to Le Mans for the 100th anniversary. Mechanic’s we’re trying to get started the Graham Hill, Jackie Stewart Gas Turbine Rover-BRM race car that raced and finished 10th in the 1965 Le Mans. Spent another 3 hours here with everything from Lady Penelope’s limo to a twin engined Moke also the 2004 Mark Webbers F1 Jag. 👍😎🏁
