Berlin Sightseeing

 










A long sightseeing walk today the highlight the East Art Gallery - a 1.1 km long remaining section the Berlin Wall with artwork reflecting on the wall. Visited other sights in the Mitte Middle of city: Museum Island, DDR museum, Tiergarten, Brandenburg gate, and checkpoint Charlie

We visited the DDR museum which show what life was like in GDR Germany 1945-1989




Yesterday we did a Trabant tourist drive after visiting the Topography of Terrors



The Topography of Terrors is a museum on the site of the old SS Gestapo and details the rise and fall of Hitler and the atrocities of WWII

Well what a holiday WOW 🤩  After 3 and half months on the road Deb & I decided that we would come home as it’s time. We were blessed with everything we experienced and the people we meet on the way but missing family and friends so time to get back to the best country in the world and this time of year the best part of our country NT Darwin. Frankfurt to Singapore 12.5 hours , 2 hour to changeover then Singapore to Darwin  nearly 5 hours. Arrived in Darwin lovely afternoon 😀 ☀️☀️

Touring Paris Citroen 2CV

  Had a great day with Deb yesterday touring around Paris in a Iconic French car the Citroen 2CV. Simon our driver tour guide a student from the UK that does this job part time was great as he loves driving in Paris. After the tour he dropped us off at the Arc de Triomphe and you and go up to the top for 13 euros ea. We walked straight in as with all the bad press on Paris not many tourists about but French Army everywhere  🚗😎🇫🇷

Valencia

Traveled by train via the coast 4 hours south from Barcelona on Friday 23rd staying in an Airbnb right in the heart of Valencia city.  Valencia is a lot nicer city than Barcelona as less traffic in the inner part of the city with less motorists and more foot traffic. The beautiful old buildings and a thousands of places to eat out makes it a destination for tourists from around the world. Under our Airbnb a garage full of old cars 🤩 Spent 4 days here exploring the city and sights when we fly to Amsterdam to visit Debs dads family. Historical buildings in the main city The arts centre The markets were fabulous with so much delicious and interesting foods    A bike ride today took us to the fabulous beaches of Valencia where I had a swim in the warm Mediterranean Sea.
