Leidschendam, Den Hague family visit

Leidschendam, Voorburg and Den Haag is a beautiful area where soon as I arrived it felt like home. The stunning rural area was more beautiful than I imagined it would be. We visited over a period of 3 day’s arriving Tuesday June 27.

We caught up with some of my Dads cousins from the Van der Kraan family.
Back: Chloe, Lynda, Danielle, Dean.

My grandfather Gerard and grandmother Truus left the Netherlands in October 1959, migrating to Australia with their 6 children aged 2 to 12, my father the eldest.

Tante Riet was my Nana Weerdenburg’s youngest sister and is still living independently. Dean and I had a wonderful morning with her and her daughter and daughter in law. She had kept family albums and shared memories and history of the family. It was the highlight of my Netherlands visit.  💕
