Rome Italy 🇮🇹






From Split Croatia we flew to Rome and had 3 days of discovering Rome. 1st day was the Roman Colosseum with a guide is worth the money as we jump the huge queues , great experience 👍. Next day same thing with a pre booked guided tour through the Vatican with over 7 million visitors each year again a sensory overload of what was in front of us 😵‍💫 the museum has so much that if you spent 20 seconds on everything in there would take you 12 years to see it all , crazy 😜. Finale part of the tour through Saint Peter’s Basilica , incredible.

Trevi fountain was popular on the 32 degree day


Inside St. Ingazio church with the incredible ceiling which appears 3 dimensional. It looks like the angels are ascending to heaven















It is impossible to convey the proportions of St. Peter’s Basilica. The main dome is 440 feet high. Humans are dwarfed in this space. 



Michelangelo sculpted this timeless piece at the age of 23 .

Well what a holiday WOW 🤩  After 3 and half months on the road Deb & I decided that we would come home as it’s time. We were blessed with everything we experienced and the people we meet on the way but missing family and friends so time to get back to the best country in the world and this time of year the best part of our country NT Darwin. Frankfurt to Singapore 12.5 hours , 2 hour to changeover then Singapore to Darwin  nearly 5 hours. Arrived in Darwin lovely afternoon 😀 ☀️☀️

Touring Paris Citroen 2CV

  Had a great day with Deb yesterday touring around Paris in a Iconic French car the Citroen 2CV. Simon our driver tour guide a student from the UK that does this job part time was great as he loves driving in Paris. After the tour he dropped us off at the Arc de Triomphe and you and go up to the top for 13 euros ea. We walked straight in as with all the bad press on Paris not many tourists about but French Army everywhere  🚗😎🇫🇷

Camino day 22 to Santiago

  Walking into the plaza facing the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela felt strangely surreal. Thoughts and expectations of what would the Camino be like, would I be strong enough, will I stay well, will I find somewhere to sleep?  How would I feel when I reached Santiago?  I felt overjoyed in completing the pilgrimage, I was amazed by the Cathedral and the tomb of Saint James, and grateful that the journey had delivered the simplicity of life as a pilgrim that I imagined.  At the start of the pilgrimage you are provided with your Credencial (pilgrims passport) which allows you to stay in the albergues, and is proof of your journey as you get it stamped at churches, places of interest, cafes and albergues along the way.
